Anyone have a question/questions for Mark "Heero Yuy" Hildreth? He okayed my inquiry for a short interview, but beyond the usual "which character's VO is your favorite," I'm stumped.

I also plan to do short interviews with the rest of the cast, including the ladies, with their permission.

Normally, I don't use prompts, but this dialogue one was too good to pass up.  It's told from Quatre's first-person perspective.
-----------------------------------------
"I should go," I said, grabbing my jacket off the back of the chair.  Coming up to Trowa's apartment was a big mistake and I knew it, but some part of me was looking for... what... closure?  A happy ever after?  Sorry, but if life's taught me anything, it's that closure is a joke, and happy ever after is for fairy tales.

"Yet you'll end up staying anyway, Cat.  We both know it," the man in question replied sheepishly, and I felt laughter bubble up in my throat.

"That's not true. I can't be that predictable."

"If you were going to leave, you'd already be out the door.  When you do something you aren't sure about, you always do it fast to get it over with before you can overthink it.  You're predictable because I know you."

Suddenly, my mirth turned to anger.  How dare he presume I was the same hopeless, lovesick boy whose heart he'd crushed a year and a half ago?  That guy died in a shuttle explosion nearly a year ago with no one to care either way, and I wasn't him anymore.

"You used to know me, Trowa," I snarled.  "I'm not the same person I was.  He's dead, and I'm leaving."

"And if I was the person I used to be, I'd let you go.  But I'm not.  You're staying."

"Wow, talk about a reversal of roles.  Now you're the one who cares too much."

"I've always cared, Cat."

"Not enough.  And not about me."

And with that, I walked out and closed the door, then ran for the sidewalk as fast as my legs would carry me.

July...

1 min read
July's been a shitty month for me.

I lost two people who were close to me last month: my best friend, Mike Acord, died of cancer on July 14th, and my little brother, Patrick, died in his sleep in Dallas on the 31st.

Anyone trying to turn the Pulse massacre into a "religion is bad" thing, FORGET IT.

The shooter, Omar Mateen, was BORN IN NYC to Afghani parents, and lived in Port St. Lucie, FL, with them, so there goes the Screaming Cheeto's "foreign Muslim terrorist" bullshit conspiracy "theory."

In fact, Omar's father said his attack had NOTHING to do with Islam, and everything to do with Omar being a homophobic prick who got pissed off because he saw two men kissing on the street one day.

In fact, let's give the "religion is bad" line a rest for right now, okay?  THIS ATTACK WAS NOT ABOUT RELIGION.  IT'S ABOUT HOW FUCKING EASY IT IS FOR ANYONE IN THIS COUNTRY TO GET THEIR HANDS ON SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPONS AND SHOOT INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS, NO MATTER WHICH GOD THEY WORSHIP OR WHO THEY CHOOSE TO LOVE, TO SHIT AND GONE FOR NO FUCKING REASON OTHER THAN THEY'RE PISSED OFF AT THE WORLD.

And by the way, the TEN COMMANDMENTS SAID "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" LONG BEFORE LEVITICUS WAS WRITTEN, and Levi was an asshole.

Again, this was NOT about religion. It was about a fucking idiot with a tiny dick and anger issues getting pissed off because he saw TWO MEN KISSING.

I apologize for bitching, but it burns me up that some assholes are making this attack about religion when it's ALL about some made up phobia morons use to cover the fact that they are assholes and that it's TOO EASY for people to get their hands on military-grade weapons and use them to solve all their "problems," real OR imagined.

There's another new Gundam series to debut in Japan on Christmas Day.

Based on the seinan (mens) manga of the same name written and illustrated by Yasuo Ohtagaki, Mobile Suit Gundam Tunderbolt takes place concurrently with Mobile Suit Gundam, during the One Year War.

In UC 0079, the Federation and Zeon troops engage in a fierce battle in the "Thunderbolt Sector", a shoal zone littered with debris from destroyed space colonies, and named for the frequent electrical discharges. The story focuses on Federation soldier Io Flemming as he battles Zeon's best sniper, Daryl Lorenz.

Since it's based on a more adult manga (and one of the reasons for Tomino's speech on why the Gundam should be more kid oriented), Thunderbolt will be more violent than even Iron-Blooded Orphans.  It has an instrumental jazz soundtrack, and one of the pilots keeps a pair of drumsticks in his suit and an MP3 player duct taped to its control console.

Here's the three-minute preview: www.dailymotion.com/video/x3hp…
